Jaime has been an integral part of and now manages a significant portion of Amaryllis Law’s practice. Her career, which began at Amaryllis Law, formerly Poarch Law, has involved important work with juveniles, individuals who are victims of crimes and adoptions. Jaime has had significant success in court over the years. She now manages a number of the firm’s practice areas. She works on all types of immigration and adoption cases.
Jaime is an active member of the Federal Bar Association, Immigration Law Section. Through a process that takes into account peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other factors, she has been selected as a Rising Star in Immigration Law every year since 2019. Jaime has also been selected by Best Lawyers Ones to Watch every year since 2021. In 2020, she was the recipient of the FBA-ILS Younger Lawyer of the Year Award. Jaime is also a member of the Virginia State Bar, American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Salem/Roanoke County Bar Association, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.
Jaime’s commitment to immigration law and advocacy stems from the lessons she learned during her time volunteering with children in a Ugandan orphanage and her experience working on a project in Thailand regarding human trafficking. She is passionate about being a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.
Born in California, Jaime spent many of her formative years in Roanoke before her family moved back West to Nevada. She returned to Virginia to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg. After graduating with her JD from Liberty University School of Law Jaime began her career as an immigration attorney with Amaryllis Law, formerly Poarch Law.
