Session I: The first two panels enhance objective understanding of our immigration system. This portion is intended to be purely educational with an opportunity for questions for the panelists.

A critical foundation for understanding immigration law in the U.S. and the common myths, truths, challenges, and complications that exist in our current immigration system.

A panel discussion on the recent executive orders, other nationally-promulgated immigration policies, and their potential effect on the local immigration community.

Session II: This session will introduce key concepts in adaptive leadership theory – the “practice of mobilizing people to tackle tough challenges and thrive” (Heifetz) – and their application to the current immigration debate. These panels will be interactive.

Adaptive Leadership: How We Make Change or Avoid It | 3:30 – 4:20 PM

Covers the basic principles of adaptive leadership theory to support effective local leadership and advocacy on the subject of immigration law.
