Amaryllis Law presents on Business Immigration Hot Topics at Roanoke Valley SHRM event

In any office, the human resources department has to stay current on everything involving employment law, which includes business immigration. These past few years, we have seen a significant change in policies and laws regarding business immigration. In support of their mission, the Roanoke Valley SHRM invited Christine Poarch from Amaryllis Law, to present at one of their meetings on business immigration hot topics.

Amaryllis Law’s presentation, titled: Beyond Borders: Barriers to Lawful Immigration, informed on issues affecting all human resource departments across the country. Christine spoke on the implication of employers receiving SSN No-Match letters, to visa changes and USCIS changing fees, and immigration enforcement.

As a local affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Roanoke Valley SHRM chapter is a starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources in the Roanoke Valley.
